Teresa Oaxaca

Teresa Oaxaca is a "Contemporary artist based in Washington D.C. Specializing in the medium of traditional oil painting while drawing on a wide range of sources for inspiration and subject matter." I got this from her blog http://teresaoaxaca.blogspot.com/ I have not met this fantastic artist is of this posting date but found out about her through art centers in my region. Mrs Oaxaca teaches at the art league (torpedo factory) in Alexandria,VA which is pretty convenient for me being in northern Virginia.

 some of Teresa's art

I signed up for one of her workshops scheduled this weekend, and found out all sets were filled.

the torpedo factory said I could signup for another session though!

five months is a while but this should give me time to brush up on my technique to show off in the classroom "wink wink"

the high artwork that Teresa Oaxaca can produce is far beyond my capabilities, and so inspirational! after I attend the workshop I'll do a follow up post on Teresa Oaxaca.

thought this video was deleted for good, but here it is. it's been a while since my last post, I'm not a professional blogger or professional anything for that matter, just a lazy, amateur, wannabe animator!
